The best thing about backpacking in Asia are the cheap prices, exotic food and friendliness of the locals. At most destinations in Asia, backpackers can live on about $5 a day, including food, accommodation, but drinks could be a little extra. Plus, there are so many things that can be learnt about the different cultures and of course, one’s self while spending some time on a backpacker tour of Asia.  

Whether it be drinking on little dinky chairs on the street in Vietnam, comparing backpacker notes on Bangkok’s Khao San Road, or even teaching the local’s a bit of English while chilling over a few Bintang’s on Jakarta’s Jalan Jaksa, Asia is definitely a backpacker priority when it comes to a cheap place that has it all.  

Travellers on backpacker tours in Asia will soon discover that the locals are some of the most friendly and hospitable people on earth. When given the chance, the locals are more than happy to share some of the local delicacies, teach travellers some of the local lingo and even take you to visit some of the local hangouts.  

When it comes to big cities, Asia is full of them. Every Asian country is different in some way or another, and each city has its own charms and idiosyncrasies which make it unique.  

Adventure tourists to Asia won’t be disappointed either, as there is an abundance of things to see and do outside of the cities. The Indonesian island of Bali is a great place to head to, where adrenaline junkies can enjoy white water rafting in the mountains during the day, and bungee jump at one of the world’s best nightclubs in the world in the wee hours of the morning.
