This itinerary includes transport (no guide will travel on the coach, but you will be met by hostel staff at each stop and transferred to your accommodation), accommodation, activities (operated by local guides who are experts in their area) and selected meals. Everything is pre-booked for you and you are provided with details of each segment, so you do not have to worry about a thing! The advantage of Flexi-touring is that it is tailored to each person’s requirements, departs daily and you are not paying high costs to have a guide sitting on a coach with you.
Day 1 - 3: Cairns & Great Barrier ReefCairns is the adventure playground of Australia offering bungy jumping, white water rafting, kayaking, ballooning and diving. Here you have plenty of time to experience the Great Barrier Reef along with the other adrenaline activities that this town boasts....and then it is party time when the sun goes down. To maximise you experience on the Great Barrier Reef, we offer you a choice of 2 options:
Option A (BUDGET OPTION): Full Day Cruise
Experience the Great Barrier Reef on our fully equipped cruise vessel. This is one of the fastest vessels to get you to the reefs meaning you get to spend more time snorkelling and exploring - you can also go SCUBA diving for a small fee. Lunch is included whilst on the reef
Option B: Overnight Experience:(all meals whilst on cruise)
Spend 2 full days out on the Great Barrier Reef exploring the marine and coral life. Our 25 metre vessel features 16 air-conditioned cabins all with ensuite. Snorkel option costs an additional $180 (Upgrade Fee $140 + $40 Reef Tax)
Certified Dive Option costs an additional $280 (Upgrade Fee $240 + $40 Reef Tax) - which includes 6 dives. (Dive courses are also available).
For the more adventurous you also have the opportunity to spend a Full Day Rafting on the Tully River (Cost AU$155).
Day 4 to 7: Airlie Beach & Whitsunday'sAirlie is the gateway to the Whitsunday's – an archipelago of 74 tropical islands. Our resort is located on the main strip and features a swimming pool, bar and night club. This is the ideal base to explore the Whitsunday's from. Here you have 3 options:
Option A: DAY SAILING (Airlie Based)
Full Day Whitsunday Sailing (lunch whilst on cruise) + 3 Nights @ Airlie Beach
This option includes a full day sailing around the Whitsunday Islands, great snorkeling, pristine beaches PLUS all you can eat lunch and UNLIMITED Booze.
Option B: BUDGET SAILING OPTION (Liveaboard)
2.5 Day Sailing the Whitsunday’s (all meals whilst on cruise) + 1 Night @ Airlie Beach
Spend 2 days & 2 nights sailing the Whitsunday’s on our 25 metre backpacker cruise vessel. Each night you will sleep aboard our sailing vessel that sleeps 24 passengers + 3 crew. The accommodation is mixed dorm share. This is a great way to explore the tropical reefs and beaches as you cruise and snorkel around the islands. This option costs an additional $115
Option C: SNORKEL, DIVE & SAIL OPTION (Liveaboard)
2.5 Day Sailing the Whitsunday’s (all meals whilst on cruise) + 1 Night @ Airlie Beach
Spend 2 days & 2 nights sailing the Whitsunday’s on our fully air conditioned cruise vessel. Sleeping between 2,3,4 & multishare cabins. Private doubles are available at extra cost. The yacht also features a spacious saloon, dive deck, sun tanning deck, air-conditioning and great food. Cruise around and see Whitehaven Beach, do a Scuba dive (approx $60 per dive) or unlimited snorkelling on the spectacular Great Barrier Reef.
This option costs an additional $225 (Upgrade Fee $160 + $65 Ref Tax)
Option D: WHITSUNDAY ISLAND STAY
3 Day Whitsunday Island Adventure (includes 1 lunch) + 1 Night @ Airlie Beach
Sailing for the day you will explore magnificent Whitehaven Beach and the spectacular Whitsunday’s Islands National Park. Then stay 2 nights at our Long Island backpacker lodge. Explore Long Island, part of the Whitsunday’s National Park. Explore the 2,500 acres of rainforest, find your own secluded bay and take in the great outdoors on the 20 kilometres of scenic walking tracks. On the island there is prolific birdlife, wallabies and fruit bats. Laze by the pool or on the beach.
This option has an Upgrade fee of $75 (Inclusive Reef Taxes)
Day 8 to 11: Capricorn Coast & Fraser IslandContinue to travel south via the Capricorn Coast to arrive in Hervey Bay. This coastal village is famous both as the whale watching hub of Australia plus as the gateway to Fraser Island. Here you have 2 options:
Option A: HERVEY BAY + FRASER ISLAND + CAPRICORN COAST
2 Nights Hervey Bay + Fraser Island Day Tour (includes Lunch) + 1.5 Nights Capricorn Coast
Overnight at Emu Park Beach Resort. Set on the Tropic of Capricorn in Central Queensland, the Capricorn Coast is an undiscovered gem. With an average daily temperature of 25 degrees Celsius, the Capricorn Coast is a haven for long days in the warm sun all year round. If unspoilt beaches, clean white sand and sparkling ocean are your thing, then you're coming to the right place. Then continue south to Hervey Bay where you will spend 2 nights plus do "Fraser in one fun-filled day" with an experienced local guide and see the best the island has to offer.
Option B: HERVEY BAY + FRASER ISLAND (Lodge Option)
1 Night Hervey Bay (Hostel) + 2 Nights Fraser Island (2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 2 dinners)
Guided four wheel drive adventure which overnights in the Wilderness Lodge (part of Kingfisher Bay Resort). Included in your touring will be Lake Mackenzie, Basin Lake, Pile Valley, Maheno Shipwreck, Coloured Sands & Champagne Pools. This option has an Upgrade fee of $145 (Inclusive of all meals & park fees)
Option C: HERVEY BAY + FRASER ISLAND (Camping Option)
1 Night Hervey Bay (Hostel) + 2 Nights Fraser Island (Camp)
This is a great package where you will actually get a chance to get behind the wheel and experience driving (4x4) on these remote beaches of Fraser Island. You are a part of a guided self drive tag along tour of Fraser Island (for safety you follow a lead guide driver in your vehicle). See all this unique region has to offer and spend your nights camping in this magnificent wilderness.
This option costs an additional $145 (Upgrade Fee $55 + $90 Food & Vehicle Kitty)
Day 12: BrisbaneDeparting Hervey Bay you travel south to end your package in Brisbane.
