Day 1 Cancun
Enjoy beachside bliss on Cancun's white sands.
Day 2 Tulum
Drive along the gorgeous Caribbean coast to the ancient city of Tulum. Located on a cliff above the beach, it contains some of the best-preserved Maya ruins in the world. Go swimming at the beach then camp at the idyllic Bacalar Lagoon.
Days 3-4 Caye Caulker
Cross into Belize and take a speedboat to the Caribbean island of Caye Caulker, a paradise of turquoise waters and sandy beaches. Explore the vibrant marine world of the surrounding coral reef on an optional snorkel trip. Perhaps take a boat tour to experience the sublime sunset.
Day 5 San Ignacio
Uncover the legends of the Maya back on the mainland. Go on an optional canoe tour through the tropical rainforest and explore the mysterious caves.
Days 6-7 Tikal/ Flores
Featuring 3,000 towering pyramids, royal palaces and ceremonial platforms, Tikal is sure to fascinate. Drive to Flores on Lake Peten Itza.
Day 8 Rio Dulce
Freshen up at the world’s only warm waterfall, Agua Caliente, then maybe take a relaxed cruise over Lake Izabal, Guatemala's largest lake.
Day 9 Copan
Make a pilgrimage to the most important Maya ruin site in Honduras. Perhaps visit the Copan Sculpture Museum for a history lesson.
Days 10-11 Antigua
Walk through the neat cobblestone streets and charming courtyards of this scenic city, which has one of the most spectacular outlooks in the world - framed by three massive volcanoes, Antigua presents its visitors with a remarkable, surreal landscape.
Days 12-14 Lake Atitlan
Pass by an impressively deep volcanic lake and explore the colourful Chichacastenango markets.
Days 15-16 San Cristobal de las Casas
Head into the Chiapas highlands and visit villagers who combine Catholicism and indigenous religious beliefs to create a fascinating hybrid.
Days 17-18 Palenque
Admire the cascading water and lush vegetation of Agua Azul, then head to Misol-Ha and wallow in its warm pools. Journey to Palenque, an ancient Maya city.
Days 19-21 Xpu-Ha
Head to Xpu-Ha and try cavern-snorkelling or diving before hitting Playa del Carmen for a night out. Chichen Itza is a place of wonder - the grounds contain carved pyramids, temples and shrines.
Day 22 Cancun
The adventure ends on arrival back in Cancun.
