DAYS 1 - 2, Masai Mara
From Nairobi we make our way to the magnificent Masai Mara Game Reserve. The 'Mara' is many people's idea of 'classic Africa': rolling green hills, vast open horizons and plains stocked with wildlife. Game drives give us ample opportunity to search for the Big 5 - leopard, lion, elephant, rhino and buffalo, as well as numerous grazing animals such as wildebeest, zebra and giraffe. The 'Mara' is also home to good stocks of hippo and crocodile in the Mara River and an enormous variety of bird life.

From our base camp just outside the Reserve, we make the most of our time to explore this spectacular region in more detail and enjoy the many photo and wildlife-watching opportunities.

DAY 3, Nairobi
Departing the Mara, we drive through the Masai town of Narok and back across the Rift Valley to Nairobi where our safari ends (normally arriving late afternoon).
