Full Itinerary
Day 1: Port Arthur Mega Day, Tasman Arch, Devil’s Kitchen, Remarkable Caves and Pirates Bay Lookout Pick-up from your Hobart accommodation. This day is jam-packed with Tasmanian history and natural attractions. We spend over an hour in Richmond Historic Village, strolling the streets of the best-preserved Georgian village in Australia.
From here we head to the Tasman Peninsula, and begin exploring the natural attractions for which this region is famous: Tasman Arch, Devil’s Kitchen, Remarkable Caves and Pirates Bay Lookout. The tour then takes us to world-famous Port Arthur Historic Site, where we spend over 3 hours and enjoy full entry to the site, a harbour cruise and walking tour. Returns to Hobart 7:00pm. Spend the night at Central City Backpackers.
Day 2: Mt Field, Mt Wellington & Wildlife Pick-up from Central City Backpackers. Today we have the opportunity to be humbled by nature as we wander beneath the world’s tallest hardwood trees and enjoy the tranquillity of famous Russell Falls. Included in the trip is a journey to the summit of Mt Wellington, where we can enjoy the panoramic views of the city of Hobart. Also included is a personally-guided tour of a wildlife sanctuary, where we get up close to Tasmanian Devils, wallabies, possums, wombats and koalas. Mountains, ancient forests and unique wildlife make this day unforgettable. Returns to Hobart 5:00pm. Spent the night at Central City Backpackers.
Day 3: Wineglass Bay & Freycinet National Park Pick-up from Central City Backpackers. We explore Tasmania’s East Coast on the way to Freycinet National Park, where we show you one of the top 10 beaches in the world –Wineglass Bay. Complete a number of shorter or longer walks, spot a wallaby along the way, swim in this picture-perfect setting or just laze on the beach. This is a place of stunning coastline and amazing ocean views. Includes a stop at Kate’s Berry Farm. Returns to Hobart 7:00pm.
