Standing at the top of Mount Kilimanjaro and gazing at the African continent is a life-changing achievement that any reasonably fit person can attempt.

DAY 1, Moshi
On arrival at your hotel our representative will give you a briefing on what to expect over the next few days of trekking the highest mountain in Africa.

DAYS 2 - 6, Mt Kilimanjaro Trek
There are several hiking routes leading to the summit of Kilimanjaro and they are graded by difficulty. The most popular is the 34km 5 - 6 day Marangu Route on the east side of the mountain. This is the only route that provides sleeping huts, equipped with beds and mattresses, and a small shop at most campsites.

On any of the routes, the last slog to the summit is demanding and you begin the final ascent just after midnight in subzero temperatures to reach Uhuru Peak (5,895m) for sunrise. At the top, exhaustion fades as the sun rises over the 'Roof of Africa' and opens up to unbelievable views of the plains below, and you will feel a great sense of achievement. You'll feel on top of the world!

DAY 6, Descent, Moshi
After descending the mountain we reach the park gate, where successful climbers will collect their climbing certificate. We then return to the hotel in Moshi for a well earned rest.

DAY 7, Moshi
