Full Itinerary
Day 1: Colombo
Arrival at the Bandaranayaka International Airport in Katunayake, welcome and assist by a representative of our Company and transfer to Colombo. Afternoon Sightseeing and shopping tour of Colombo. Drive through the city taking you through busy commercial areas as well as the tree-lined residential Cinnamon Gardens area. Visit Fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison, Sea Street (the goldsmith’s quarters in the heart of Pettah), Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings, and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749, and visit Noritake Ceramic Center, Shopping at ODEL and HOUSE OF FASHION.

Day 2: Dambulla / Sigiriya
Breakfast at the Hotel. Proceed to Sigiriya. En route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where an orphanage was started in 1975 to house abandoned and wounded elephants. The number of elephants has increased to more than 65 now, including baby elephants brought from various parts, as well as the 14 babies born, as a result of the captive breeding programme. Afternoon climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress built by the Patricide King Kashyapa in the 5th Century A. D today it’s treasure true of rare art and view the Fresco Gallery of the "Heavenly Maidens" of Sigiriya.

Day 3: Dambulla / Sigiriya
Breakfast at the Hotel. Day excursion to Anuradhapura, is the most celebrated of Sri Lanka’s ancient ruined cities. The city’s greatest treasures are its Dagabas constructed of small sun-dried bricks and hemispherical in shape. The most notable of these Dagabas are the Ruvenweli, which dates back to the 2nd Century BC and is 300 ft in diameter, the Jetawanarama is 370 ft and the Thuparama, which enshrines the collarbone of the Buddha. The city’s most renewed relic is the sacred Bo Tree, which is said to have grown from a branch of the tree under which the Buddha gained enlightenment. It was planted 2250 years ago and is the oldest historic tree in the world. On completion drive to Polonnaruwa The Capital of Sri Lanka from 11th – 13th Century, contains some splendid and spectacular status. Thuparama are the most beautiful and largest shrine ruins and Tivanka has the best example of frescoes of the Polonnaruwa period. Rankot Vihara and Kiriwehera are well preserved large Stupas, and Gal Vihare – a rock shrine, has four Buddha statues, two seated, one standing and one Reclining and Parakrama Bahu statue are example of Sinhalese stone carver. The Vata-da-ge is a unique creation of Sri Lanka artists. On completion visit Wood Carving Center.

Day 4: Kandy
Breakfast at the hotel. Proceed to Kandy. En route stop at Dambulla Rock Caved Temple. Dambulla - Famous for the five cave Temples on a rock. The first 03 caves are better, older and larger than the other two. Some caves dates to 1st C.B.C. All the 5 cave walls and ceilings are covered with Buddhist murals and there are more than 130 Buddha statues, statues of Gods and Kings are also found here. And visit Spice Garden in Matale. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site. The name Kandy conjures visions of splendor and magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive. Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala king Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798. Visit the Kandy town and Bazaar, the arts & crafts center and a gem museum and a lapidary. Evening visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth and view a Display of Kandyan Dance and Fire Walking.

Day 5: Nuwara Eliya
Breakfast at the Hotel. Proceeds to Nuwara Eliya with a stop en-route at Royal Botanical Garden in Peradeniya and visit Tea Factory. The ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations. It is supposed to be one of the coldest places on the island, but is really just like an England spring day although the temperature does drop at night. The Victoria Park, in the middle of town, is a lovely place for a stroll or a picnic. Seasons may be absent elsewhere in Sri Lanka, but here you can read them by the flowers, which bloom in the spring (March to May) and the fall (August and September). These are the ‘seasons’ when low-country folk flock to Nuwara Eli to escape the sea level heat and humidity.

Day 6: Hambantota / Kataragama
Breakfast at the Hotel. Proceed to Yala on the South East Cost. Afternoon Safari Tour in Yala National Park by Jeep. The Elephants is undoubtedly the best known attraction at Yala, seen in small & large herds spotted deer are seen all over the park. Monkeys the pinkish rhesus & the Grey-faced Langur Monkey, live & play on the treetops & the ground below. The availability of water throughout the year makes Yala an important area for the conservation of the Flora & Fauna in the country.

Day 7: Mount Lavinia
Breakfast at the Hotel. Proceed to Mount Lavinia along the Coastal Road. En route visit Galle. This is the most ancient and important harbour of the country, until the Colombo Harbor was established. Galle is identified as the ‘ Tarshis ‘ of the Bible. This was captured by the Portuguese in 1587 A.D, Dutch in 1640 A.D, and British in 1796 A.D. Most of the existing buildings dates to Dutch Period. The Bastians are still using Dutch names such as Zwart, Akesloot, Aeloes etc. Famous for lace making, Ebony carving, Gem cutting & polishing.

Breakfast at the hotel. Leisure at the Beach.

Day 9: Colombo
Breakfast at the hotel. Leisure at the Hotel till the time for departure to Colombo Airport
