Trip Highlights

Uluru sunset & sunrise (2 hour hike), Kata Tjuta (3 hour hike), Kings Canyon (3 hour hike).
We also visit the Camel Farm, Mount Connor, Lake Amadeus Salt Lakes, Mt Ebenezer, Kings Creek Station & Erldunda.
Bush camping on night 1 at Curtin Springs Cattle Station with bush toilets only. Building a fire and cooking on the camp fire.
Camping on night 2 at Ayers Rock Campground with showers & toilets.
Ride a camel for $6.00
Have a swim in the Garden of Eden on Day 1 at the bottom of Kings Canyon.
We visit the Aboriginal Cultural Centre on Day 2.
Uluru Base Walk on Day 3.
The Rock Tour respectfully honors the Anangu request not to climb Uluru.
After the tour, meet up with your Guide for dinner and a few beers at 7:00pm at The Rock Bar.
Meals included 3 lunches, 2 breakfasts & 2 dinners. Light snacks are offered and each bus has 60 litres of water on board.

Full Itinerary

Feel the spiritual significance of Uluru on this 3 day / 2 night camping tour. Each day includes a 3 hour hike which you will complete with your tour guide, listening to interperative talks on aboriginal culture, dreamtime, geology & fauna & fauna along the way.

Day 1: Kings Canyon (L,D)
You will be picked up from your accommodation at 6:00am, first destination Kings Canyon. Enjoy a 3 hour hike through the sandstone domes of The Lost City. Visit the Ampitheatre, North & South Walls of the Canyon & have a swim in the Garden of Eden. Next stop Curtin Springs Cattle Station where we set up our bush camp with bush toilets. Your guide will prepare a healthy camp-oven dinner. Relax around the fire then curl up in your cozy swag under a million stars.

Day 2: Kata Tjuta & Uluru Sunset (B,L,D)
Feel the spiritual significance of the Valley of the Winds at Kata Tjuta. Your guide will show you some bush tucker along the 3 hour hike before heading to the Aboriginal Cultural Centre where you can learn about the Dreamtime. You will then go on a guided Mala Walk before enjoying dinner at the spectacular Sunset over Uluru. Witness the awesome sight of Uluru changing colour. We spend this night at the Ayers Rock Campground with toilets and showers.

Day 3: Uluru Sunrise (B,L)
Take in a memorable Uluru Sunrise over the World’s Largest Rock. You then have your own time to complete the 2 hire hike around the Base of Uluru. Take in the spiritual significance of Kantju Gorge, Mutijulu Waterhole and Aboriginal Cave Paintings. We stop on the way home for an optional Camel Ride. You will arrive back in Alice Springs at approximately 5:00pm. Back to civilization, get cleaned up and meet your Guide for dinner and a couple of beers at The Rock Bar at 7:00pm.

You will need to bring:
Travel Voucher, a small bag, water bottle, sturdy walking shoes, a torch, a hat, sunscreen, towel, swimmers, toiletries, camera and sunglasses. Comfortable light fitting clothes for the majority of the year and warm clothes for the winter.
