Each year the magnificent humpback whales jouney some 16 000 kms from Antarctica to mate and calf in the warm waters off the Barrier Reef.

After mating the whales return to Antartica before making the whole journey again 12 months later to give birth to their calves. It is during this time we have the opportunity to view these magnificent mammals in their own environment. The Whale watch crew will explain the habits and characteristics of these amazingly gentle and knowing giants.

A buffet lunch is served during the cruise and you will also have free time to explore Tangalooma resort.
